Hello Quick Learners, welcome
aboard the SS Marigold!
Get ready for a
cruise
where
sunny days
and romantic nights are
only the start of
your adventure. Meet John
and Emily, a newlywed
couple on their honeymoon.
They’re ready to relax,
have some fun, and
maybe enjoy a bit
too much buffet food.
But as they step
onto this beautiful ship,
they don’t know they’re
sailing into a place
where even the ocean
seems to hold its
breath… the Bermuda Triangle.
This is it, Em!
Our first big adventure
as husband and wife!
I can’t believe we’re
actually here. I’m so
excited!
John, always prepared for
anything, has packed everything
from a snorkel set
to a toolkit— just
in case. Emily, the
free spirit, brought the
essentials: a swimsuit, a
camera, and a love
for adventure. Together, they’re
ready to take on
the high seas… or
so they think.
This cabin is perfect! Look at that view, John.
I know, right? I can’t wait to hit a nice beach, maybe try some snorkeling, explore a bit…
And… have some serious relaxing time, right?
You bet!
But relaxation quickly takes a backseat when odd things start happening. The lights flicker, then a knock at the door makes them both jump. Emily opens it… only to find no one there. Just the empty hallway and the sound of the ship’s engines humming softly.
John, come and see this. There was a knock, but no one’s here.
Probably just some kids playing around.
Or maybe the ship’s haunted who knows?
Stop it!
John’s casual attitude does little to calm Emily’s nerves, but they try to focus on enjoying their long-awaited trip.
As day turns into night, a thick, strange fog rolls in, wrapping around the ship like a cold blanket. Back in the cabin, Emily looks out the window, and her heart skips a beat. In the fog, she sees a shadowy figure waving—or is it just a trick of the light?
John, I think I saw something out there… in the fog.
What is it?
I think someone was waving at us.
Well, this is a big boat. There are lots of people out there.
Wait… John, I swear there’s someone weird out there, in the fog.
Let me see…
I don’t see anything, Em. Maybe it’s just the mist playing tricks on you. You’ve been a bit rattled. Let’s not let this spoil our honeymoon, okay?
But the fog isn’t the only thing that feels strange. Suddenly, the ship’s engines stop, plunging the SS Marigold into a deep, unsettling silence. The ship feels different now, as if the air is thicker, heavier. What was once a lively cruise now feels like a ghost ship, drifting in the middle of nowhere.
John… the ship’s stopped… why aren’t we moving?
Maybe it’s just a technical glitch. Don’t worry. They’ll fix it soon, you’ll see.
But even John’s reassurance can’t get rid of the feeling that something is very wrong. The happy mood has disappeared, replaced by an uneasy silence that feels like a warning.
The SS Marigold now drifts quietly through the fog, with no clear destination.
This doesn’t feel right. What if we’re… lost?
We’re not lost, honey! We’re just… taking the scenic route. Relax!
But deep down, both know this is no ordinary detour, as the ship floats further into the unknown, it feels as if they’re being watched.
Suddenly, a loud creak echoes through the ship, making it shake like something has grabbed it. John and Emily freeze, their eyes wide in the dark.
What was that?
I don’t know… but we need to find out. This is definitely not what I had planned for our honeymoon!
And so their adventure into the unknown begins, as they sail into mysterious waters. But stay tuned, Quick Learners—some journeys are full of surprises, and this one is just getting started.
